Project Bridge

As a solution to students with disabilities, the secondary school systems, and Department of Labor Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) counselors working with them, the UGA RCLD began Project Bridge. The purpose of this project is for the UGA RCLD to work along with the secondary school systems in preparing an easier transition for students with disabilities from secondary to postsecondary institutions. The UGA RCLD has over 25 years of experience providing comprehensive documentation that provides support for students with disabilities to access accommodations at postsecondary institutions (academic college, technical college). The collaboration between secondary school systems, VR, and the UGA RCLD can be the bridge for students with disabilities to have a seamless transition to postsecondary learning environments.
