Nelson earned his Ph.D. in Educational Psychology with a specialization in School Psychology from Indiana University in 2005. He is a licensed psychologist in Georgia and a Nationally Certified School Psychologist. His areas of specialty include attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder and learning disabilities (particularly dyslexia). His current research interests include issues related to the identification and assessment of college students with learning disabilities and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. He is the Head of Research at the RCLD.
